リカちゃんのON/OFF展 (Licca's On/Off Exhibit)
7/3/26 19:06In keeping with the theme, there were a lot of screens, mirrors, and cameras in the dioramas: Licca as a news presenter with a big professional video camera pointing at her face; Licca at home taking a Zoom call for work; Licca getting her picture taken at an idol concert; Licca looking in a mirror at in her room.
After the dioramas, there was an area (#リカ活studio [Licca lifestyle studio]) with photo boxes and dolls you could pose to take photos. I had brought my own, so I took a picture of one of them making friends with one of the model dolls:

There are a few other photos in my March 2026 album and I'll probably upload more when I've had time to sit down and edit them… for a gallery exhibit about photography, the light was terrible.
Signage around the exhibit encouraged users to post photos with the hashtag #リカちゃんのONOFF展 [Licca-chan's ON/OFF Exhibition]. Both 旧Twitter and Instagram have absolutely ruined their hashtag search functions but I'd be willing to bet those are the most popular social media sites in Japan where you'll see the most photos: #リカちゃんのONOFF展 on Instagram + #リカちゃんのONOFF展 on
I accidentally bought a weekday ticket and had to buy a weekend ticket instead. I sent the extra to my friend because she's off for spring break in a few weeks… but so am I and, honestly, if she doesn't use it, I'll go again. I had a good time!
(This post doubles as a "dolls and flowers" photo share but that's just a happy coincidence.)
discussion prompt: Let's talk about other dolls, the dolls you don't collect or play with for whatever reason. To keep this positive, let's stick to talking about dolls you like or admire but it's just not something you want to take home. We're not here to harsh other peoples' squee.
